Welcome to Mason - The alignment library for your
Next Generation Sequencing application
Introduction:
Mason was designed to help Developers and Bioinformatition using the resources every computer offers.
Mason include implementations of local and global alignment for the analysis of Next Generation Sequencing Data. This is
acchieved by using modern APIs (SSE, OpenCL, CUDA) for CPU and CPU computing.
Availability:
Requirements:
- Some programs require a CUDA
able graphics card (here is the list of all usable graphic cards CUDA Cards
- A
Linux operating system
- A
PC with at least 2 GB of memory
Latest Version Mason 0.0.1 (01st September 2011):
- Please
read the User Manual carefully before
including Mason the first time or when you upgrade to the new
version!!

- Source
package for Linux are available in gzipped TAR format. The current
version of Mason is just tested and released under Linux.
Further versions will also be available under Windows and Macs.
